your letters, your clock, and nothing riding on it. open play deals as many rounds as you like, wherever you are. it is fully offline and needs no account, and you choose how many letters and how they split.

the rules

pick 6, 8 or 9 letters. more letters means more words to find and less time for each one.
set the mix: more vowels is a kinder board, more consonants a rarer one.
common letters turn up more often than rare ones. three seconds, then the clock starts.
a word that uses every letter scores 10 before multipliers.

does open play work offline?

yes, completely. boards deal on the device and nothing is sent anywhere.

is open play ranked?

no. open play rounds are unranked practice. the daily is where scores are posted.
