privacy policy

wordhoard is a word game. it does not require an account. this page explains the data used by the game, its adverts, and its purchases.

what we collect

a random player id (generated on your device) and the display name you pick for the scoreboard. when you play the daily board, your guesses and score are sent to our server so the leaderboard works. friends games never touch our server, because the game travels between phones inside the QR code. we do not ask for your email, real name, contacts, or precise location.

where it lives

scores and daily boards are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. your settings and game history stay on your device.

analytics

we count anonymous events (like "a game was played") to see what's used. no cookies, no advertising identifiers, no profiles.

adverts

players who do not have wordhoard plus can see adverts after finishing a round. Google Mobile Ads provides these adverts. its software may collect an ip address, a device identifier, advert views and interactions, app interactions, crash logs, and performance data. Google uses this data to provide and measure adverts, prevent fraud, run analytics, and improve its services. where required, wordhoard shows Google's consent choices before it requests an advert. you can change advert privacy choices in the app's settings.

purchases

payments are handled entirely by Apple. we never see your payment details. RevenueCat receives your random player id, purchase history, and receipt information so it can confirm purchases, unlock wordhoard plus, prevent fraud, and provide purchase analytics.

your choices

the scoreboard name is whatever you type, so pick anything. you can decline optional advert consent when it is offered. want your scores or purchase profile removed? email us with your scoreboard name and we'll help with the request.
